STAGE 1E: Go Here Go There
Within a few blocks of the City2Surf start line are some of the city's most celebrated and respected music venues, home to a unique live music history and with even more new memories to shape going forward. These venues host Go Here Go There, an event bringing Sydney together for an evening of venue hopping, dance, and meeting like minded people across the Kings Cross precinct, providing the opportunity to engage with some of Australia's best artists in an intimate band room or club room setting, and taking it back to where the magic began. Some of these festival artists are bringing a taste of the Go Here Go There vibes for runners as they head through Kings Cross for the first kilometre of the race.
STAGE 2E: Governor Macquarie Memorial Pipe Band

The Band and Marching Team is based in Sydney, Australia. The members are part-time volunteers who see the function of the group as an integral part of the Brigades mission to provide public education on fire prevention and safety awareness to the community and to promote the Brigades as a world class organisation. STAGE 6E: Australian Army Rock Band
The Australian Army Band Sydney’s rock band, ‘The Rising Suns’ is a dynamic and engaging 8-piece rock ensemble. They play a wide variety of music from classic rock, soul and blues all the way through to top 40 hits of today. The musicians in the band are also trained soldiers and perform a wide range of duties from marching in parades to performing for the troops overseas. The ‘Rising Suns’ perform for many community and charity events. Some recent performances include the Bathurst 1000, The Bledisloe Cup as well as AFL and NRL matches. STAGE 7E: NSW Police Rock Band
Formed in 1895, the NSW Police Force proudly boasts the country’s oldest concert band. It is a full-time unit of the NSW Police Force comprising of 30 players.
Under the Command of Senior Sergeant Murray Mayday, the Musical Direction of Conductor John Saunders, and featuring our Award Winning vocalist Belinda Adams, the band fulfils over 220 engagements each year including outdoor concerts, school visits/workshops, Government and community events, recitals, street parades, charitable events and various prestigious ceremonies including 'Ticker Tape' parades for Australian sporting teams, Commonwealth and Olympic athletes as well as performing for Heads of State, Royalty, Prime Ministers & Presidents.
STAGE 8E: Inner West Disco Reggae Machine Stage (Reggae Sound System)
The INNER WEST REGGAE DISCO MACHINE is a custom built reggae sound system, designed to bring good time vibes. STAGE 14E: BBR DJs
The fiercely independent artist run community radio station Bondi Beach Radio has been globally recognised in online radio awards. Regular fundraisers in the City2Surf for musician charities, this year BBR are setting up course side to provide music for the runners, featuring station DJs TINAH (Super Venus) and CAPRO (Double Up).
STAGE 15E: Local Vocal Band Stage
Eastside Sydney’s best youth bands are playing on the City2Surf 2018 Local Vocal Band Stage adjacent to Dudley Paige reserve, energising City2Surf runners starting to make their way down the final few kilometres towards the finish line. The lineup includes Hot Heads, Dirty Sherbert, Syrup, The Lazy Eyes who are all recent headliners of the Waverley Council music program supported Bondi Wave, Bay Fest, Bondi Blitz, Home Grown, and Bondi Blymp festivals as well as northside rockers Tangello heading over the bridge to round out the vibes. STAGE 16E: Inner West Community Band
The Inner West Community Band is a Marrickville based concert band of approximately 50 members aiming to provide community members of all ages & backgrounds the opportunity to play, enjoy and perform great music, while having fun and becoming better musicians. STAGE 17E: Robbers Dogs Jazz Band
The Robbers Dogs, a name taken from an Australian colloquial expression, was formed as a trio by clarinetist Rod Lawlis in 1970. It became a quartet later that year and, until the early 1980s, entertained audiences in Sydney's inner-city area at pub residencies in The Rocks, the CBD, Balmain and Camperdown and for picnics, harbour cruises, dances, parties, weddings, wakes, clubs, corporate events and jazz club functions. In March 1984, Rod reformed the group and, with the addition of a singer, it re-entered the Sydney scene with a weekly Rozelle pub job, a long residency at the Riverview Hotel in Balmain, miscellaneous gigs, festival and concert appearances. In February - April 1996, the band played at the Fortune of War Hotel in The Rocks. It returned to the Fortune in April 1997, alternating fortnightly with the Balmain pub job until September 1998 when it became a Sunday afternoon fixture, and is still entertaining the locals and passing tourists. When Rod Lawlis died in late 2000 Bill Haesler, a founder member of the 1970 quartet, took over and appointed Jack Wiard as musical director. Click here to view their Facebook.
STAGE 18E: Latin American Festival Bondi
The Bondi Pavilion at the City2Surf 2018 finish line is also home to the longest running Latin American Festival in Australia. On a sunny Sunday in March the best of Sydney's Latin artists provide non-stop entertainment with their dynamic mix of traditional and contemporary music and dance entertainment, displays, workshops, art and craft stalls, delicious food delights, colourful costumes and irrepressible talent.

STAGE 19E: Bateria 61
Bateria 61 are a Samba band based in Sydney, Australia, playing mainly Samba Batucada, with a bit of Samba Reggae and other styles. Samba Batucada is the sound of the famous carnival of Rio de Janeiro. It's uplifting, high-energy, noisy, seductive and addictive. It's impossible to feel unhappy when playing samba.

Sincopa is Australia’s #1 DJ Band and they love playing at City2Surf!
Sincopa fuses the incredible talents of a DJ, a Saxophonist and a Percussionist to deliver the ultimate musical performance. STAGE 21E: DJ Sol Boom Bus
DJ Sol is a rising 15-year-old DJ/ producer from Bondi, Sydney. His influences are from old school hip hop artists like A Tribe called Quest to the electronica vibes of Flume, Hermitude and Enschway. with a dash of House, influenced by Carl Cox and Duke Dumont.
When not buried in schoolwork, Sol spends his time in his home studio creating beats and performing at Music Festivals, parties and for some of Sydney’s finest pumping DJ sound systems and corporate/sporting events such as; Funkdafied, Sydney Def Jam, Rodd Richards Presents (Ministry of Sound), 4Elements Hip Hop Festival, Bondi Blitz Festival, Bulldogs football team, State of Origin events, Latin American Festival Bondi, and Splendour music festival.
For the 2018 City2Surf, Sol is stoked to bring his vibes to his Waverley home neighbourhood with support from Kayem and Steve Marx playing from the legendary Boom Bus machine.

The MCM Band is a vibrant Sydney 5-piece featuring Mary Cowell. With backgrounds in Jazz performance, they play a whole range of styles with a unique touch of smooth sophistication. Expect infectious Funk classics and Pop party hits to get the City2Surf finish line dance floor started.
Mary and members of The MCM Band have been gracing stages across Sydney for numerous years, at events such as the Australian Life Saving Awards, The Property Person of the Year Awards, and the Macquarie Archibald Prize Dinner.
