*This year to improve flow and safety on course, the blue start group will be split into two waves. The first wave will be sent at 8:30am from the northern end of College Street, while the second wave will be walked down to the start line once the first wave has cleared. We encourage those Blue entrants planning to run the full distance, to arrive early, and position within the first area. These runners who might slow down or jog, we encourage to enter towards the back. This will allow for more space on the road and to ensure a smoother run to Bondi for all participants. Please respect volunteers and officials and listen for announcements.
Start Access Maps
Travel on public transport services is covered for City2Surf 2019 participants and volunteers. Simply present your race bib, Finisher's medallion or volunteers t-shirt to transport staff when boarding public transport. This includes:
Train services (bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst and Dungog stations)
Regular and special event shuttle bus services
Light Rail services
Note: an additional station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. Your event ticket does not include the access fee, so if you're travelling from these stations you'll need to pay the train station access fee.
For details on transport services included in this entitlement, visit transportnsw.info.
Please ensure you plan your trip before leaving home.
The Nova 96.9 Casanovas will be trackside with you from the start to finish. Keep an eye out for them at the start line with pom poms, megaphones and giant inflatable beach balls; and at the 11km mark, the Nova tunes will be pumping and their red and white Nova Cheerleaders will be doing their thing to get you to the finish line. Make sure you high five Nova Boy on the way through!
