Registrations & Start Groups

Anyone already registered in a start wave can start the run in a later starting group without needing to change their race bib! Simply begin in the later start group you wish to be moved to! 

If you wish to move to an earlier start group you can do so through your participant dashboard.

*Earlier start group changes are subject to capacity availability

Registrations are non-transferable between athletes, if you are unable to attend the race you will need to contact the team at city2surf@theironmangroup.com As stated in the Athlete Waiver, under no circumstance are you permitted to give your bib to another person. The safety of our athletes is paramount, therefore we need to ensure we have correct details of all our athletes on course.

Start group starting times will become available in the Event Schedule closer to the event date.

Important: Please do not ask for an exception. Our Event terms and conditions are clearly stated and applied evenly, without exception.  

Unfortunately, you cannot enter into a sold-out start group if you have not already registered.

Anyone already registered can start in a later start group without needing to change their race bib! Simply begin in the later start group you wish to be moved to! Unfortunately, once a start group is sold out, you are unable to transfer into it due to capacity limits. 

If you want to start with friends/family and have all registered, we recommend moving into the latest starting wave out of your family/friends.

 

Once a start group sells out, no further entries will become available in that group. We do not have waitlists for sold-out start groups.

Race Bib & Postage

If you have lost or damaged your race bib or timing chip you will need to purchase a replacement from Race Bib Collection at the City2Surf Expo (see Expo opening times here) for $20 (inclusive of all fees and taxes).

Race bib postage is available as an optional purchase of $12.00 for a limited time. Postage cut off dates are approximately 8 weeks out from event day. Registrants who have not selected postage will need to collect their bib from Expo during race week. If you are unable to attend Expo, someone will need to collect this on your behalf. You will need to provide them with a copy of your registration confirmation. 

If you do not select race bib postage, you will need to collect your race bib from the City2Surf Expo at The Hordern Pavilion,1 Driver Ave, Moore Park, NSW, 2021.

Bring a copy of your registration confirmation with QR code to show event staff at race bib collection. If for any reason you are unable to attend, a friend or family member can attend on your behalf, they will require a copy of your registration to collect.

If you are unable to attend Athlete Check-In, someone will need to collect your race bib on your behalf.

You will need to provide them with a copy of your registration confirmation. 

Registration confirmation will be sent to all athletes prior to check-in.

All race bibs are expected to arrive up until 2 days before the event. The order of postage is not based on when you registered, rather posted in batches. If you opted for postage and you race bib has not arrived 2 days prior to the event it has been returned to sender due to an incorrect address. In this instance, you will be required to collect your race bib from C2S Expo. Our individual race bibs do not have tracking, so we cannot provide a tracking number.

Charity

Each charity sets their own targets. Most charities do set the minimum total at $1000 raised however it is worth reaching out to the charity you are fundraising for directly for further clarity. 

Yes your original entry fees will be refunded to the card used for purchase. Please email charities.oceania@theironmangroup.com with your full name and email requesting this refund.

Unfortunately only through fundraising for one of our superstar charities (listed here) will you have the ability to apply to become a superstar. 

All superstar medals are sent directly to the superstar charities. Please reach-out to your charity directly to arrange collection of your medal.  

Yes – Your charity superstar bib allows you to start in any start group.

If you are unable to see the charity you want to fundraise for in the registration form or featured on our website, you can search for the charity under the ‘Find a charity’ search bar via the link here: https://city2surf25.grassrootz.com/If your charity is not listed, please reach-out to the team at Grassrootz here who can work with the charity to get them added as an option.  

Post Race Info

If you purchased a Sportograf photo package it is now ready! Simply head to sportograf.com, find the event, and view your City2Surf moments!

The best way to find your photos is using the selfie search function, however, you can also search by bib number. 

Please note that due to the scale of the event, searching via bib number will produce fewer photo results than the selfie upload.

Medal engravings must be purchased prior to the event. No new orders can be placed after the event has taken place. 

Please ensure you enquire and collect your uncollected drop bags before the 13th of September after which point they will be recycled/donated.

Engraved medals are posted 6 weeks post event. 

If you believe your finish time is incorrect email us at city2surf@ironman.com and provide your bib number and proof to support your request. 

Those who have purchased a medal tag must submit their timing request and supporting proof to the Timing Team before 9am on Wednesday the 20th August to have this change reflected on their tag.
