Minimum Age Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult who is also a registered athlete for the entire duration of the event. The accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant 12 years or under. Participants over the age of 12 can complete the event without an adult accompanying them.
Timing Results Timing results will be provided by age group category for all runners. Your age group is your age on race day.  Preliminary results will be available on race day, please be patient with our timers and do not approach them at the finish line.
Prize Money Prizes will be awarded in the Elite category only. 1st Male & Female - $2,000 AUD 2nd Male & Female - $1,000 AUD 3rd Male & Female - $500 AUD 4th Male & Female - $250 AUD 5th Male & Female - $125 AUD
Walkers, prams & non-elite wheelchair athletes Everyone is welcome to participate in Voltaren City2Surf. Walkers, non-elite wheelchair athletes and athletes participating with prams or service dogs must register in the last start wave.
Race Bibs  Race Bib Postage was available for purchase up to Thu 21 May. After this date, athletes must collect their race bib from the City2Surf Expo during race week.

2026 City2Surf Event Terms & Conditions (14km)

ATHLETE MEDICAL WITHDRAWALS  

Individuals and VIP Lane (excludes Gold Team pre-paid entries) 

If you cannot participate in the event for medical reasons, partial entry fee refunds are available in accordance with the below stated Athlete Medical Withdrawal policy only. After the stipulated dates, entry fees are non-refundable for medical withdrawals initiated by the athlete.  

Partial refunds will only be issued for the entry fee where participation in the event is not appropriate due to medical reasons. 

Where eligible, please allow up to 30 business days for your refund to be processed. The refund is automatically issued to the credit card originally used to pay for the registration. If this card has since been cancelled or has expired, it is the athlete’s responsibility to notify our customer service team when requesting the eligible refund. 

Requests: 

Without exception, all requests must be received on or before the below dates to be eligible for withdrawal options. All requests must be received in writing via e-mail to city2surf@theironmangroup.com.  

Withdrawal requests must be received through the official withdrawal process, during the following time frames in order to be eligible. 

Requests made before 28 June 2026, 11:59pm (AEST) 

  • Withdrawal for medical reasons 

  • 45% of the entry fee 

  • Non-medical withdrawal 

  • No refund 

Requests made after 28 June 2026, 11:59pm (AEST) 

  • Withdrawal for medical reasons 

  • No refund 

  • Non-medical withdrawal

Please Note: Athletes who have transferred or deferred into this race, or entered through the use of an event credit, promo entry, or complimentary entry (100% discounted), are not eligible to receive any partial refund of the registration fee under this Athlete Withdrawal Policy. 

 

Road Running Pregnancy Policy

  • For Athletes that become pregnant after registering for City2Surf: Event Organiser will provide a refund of the entry fee with proof of pregnancy or birth certificate of new child(ren).
  • For Athletes that are adopting or birthing via surrogacy: Event Organiser will provide a refund of the entry fee with proof of surrogacy birth or adoption within three months prior, or two months post-event date.

Verification

Athletes are required to provide written confirmation, by a qualified person or through official documentation, of the relevant circumstance e.g. medical note signed by a doctor, physician or registered midwife. Event Organiser reserves the right to request additional verification of the relevant circumstances and may deny a refund request if the documentation provided is deemed insufficient.

Team captains can cancel any pre-paid entries that have been redeemed by a team member. This includes for any team member who would like to withdraw.

This will free-up another pre-paid entry for the team captain to utilise.
