Located just metres from the Start Line, the Pre-Race VIP Area offers a relaxed space to enjoy the excitement of race day before making your way to your allocated start group. Take in exclusive views of the Start Line atmosphere while enjoying barista-made coffee, tea, light refreshments and dedicated toilets before your Voltaren City2Surf journey begins.
VIP Start Access
As a VIP Lane guest, you'll enjoy a smoother journey to the start. While all participants must begin within their allocated start group, VIP guests will be alerted and escorted directly from the VIP Start Lounge from a member of our staff to the front of their designated colour group via exclusive access adjacent to the Start Line.
Access Information:
The Pre-Race VIP Area is located at the Phillip & Cook Pool Stairs, on the corner of College Street and William Street, adjacent to the Start Line.
To gain entry, make your way to the VIP access point marked by the blue dotted line on the map and present your VIP Lane Race Bib to security staff on arrival. The blue star indicates the location of the VIP Start Lounge.

As a VIP Lane guest, you'll enjoy access to an exclusive race-day bag drop service, allowing you to arrive at the start line with confidence, knowing your post-race essentials will be waiting for you in Bondi.
Whether it's a fresh change of clothes, recovery gear or a warm layer for after the race, we'll transport your belongings securely from the Start Line to the VIP Finish Line Refresh Area so you can focus entirely on enjoying your Voltaren City2Surf experience.
How It Works
What You Can Bring
The supplied bag measures 400mm x 550mm and is designed to hold essential post-race items, including a change of clothes, water bottle and some recovery snacks.
To assist with event security, personal bags, backpacks, handbags and purses cannot be checked directly. If you arrive with one of these items, you'll need to transfer the contents into the supplied clear bag and roll your other bag up and insert it separately.
Bag Drop Times
To ensure your items arrive to Bondi in line with your start time, please drop your bag off according to your allocated start group:

We recommend arriving early to enjoy the VIP Start Lounge, grab a barista-made coffee, make use of the dedicated VIP facilities, and check your bag before heading to your start group.
How to Access the VIP Finish Line Refresh Area
After crossing the finish line:
Once inside, you can collect your race day bag, access the VIP facilities and take a moment to reset before heading off to enjoy the rest of your day.
