Race Bib Collection

Participants who registered on or before Wednesday 8 June who opted for free bib postage or purchased bib postage will have their race bibs posted to the address indicated in their registration. These will be posted in late July/early August for arrival prior to race day. 

Participants who registered from Thursday 9 June will be required to collect their race bib from the City2Surf Expo at Hordern Pavillion, Moore Park.

Please bring a copy of your eTicket to show event staff at race bib collection. E-ticket’s will be sent via email to all participants in the week commencing 8 August. If for any reason you are unable to attend, a friend or family member can attend on your behalf.

CHARITY SUPERSTAR RACE BIBS

Participants who claimed their Charity Superstar places via the charity console by midnight June 14th and are taking part on behalf of the following charities will have their bibs posted to them by registered delivery. All other Charity Superstar participants must collect their bibs from the City2Surf Expo.

Baggage

There will be a baggage service available to all runners. All bags will be available for collection in the Event Village, Bondi Beach.

All bags must be accompanied by the race number gear tag available at Baggage. Please ensure your race bag has the gear tag attached before you drop it off at the designated baggage area.

  • You will be given a see-through mesh bag at the baggage area or you can collect one as you drop at Expo and Hyde Park North. The mesh gear bag dimensions are 300mm x 450mm. No personal bags of any description (backpacks, purses, handbags) will be accepted.
  • Write your bib number on the coloured tag provided with the markers provided.
  • Only individual items may be placed within the bag, such as a change of clothes, lightweight jacket, water bottle, post-race snacks.
  • If you do not wish to keep your mesh bag, please leave it in the tubs provided so that it can be re-used for future events.

Collect your bag by 2:00pm on race day before you leave the Event Village. Any uncollected gear will be donated to charity.

Do not leave any valuables such as wallets, keys or phones. The event will take care of your belongings, but no responsibility will be taken for valuables or clothing that are lost or damaged.

Safety Tips

  • Do not compete if you have been sick or have had a viral infection in the two weeks prior to race day.
  • No pets, bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards, roller blades or drones are permitted.
  • Include emergency contact details on the back of your race bib, this will ensure event organisers can get in contact with your emergency contact if necessary.
  • All participants must be wearing the correct race number to ensure that we have the correct medical and emergency details if an incident were to occur.
  • Please refrain from using portable music devices. The use of iPods and other music players while participating have inherent risks and as their use is discouraged.
  • As is the nature of road-based events, there are potential trip hazards along the course. Please ensue to watch your step and remain within the allocated road space

Safety Info

Medical Locations

First aid stations are located at the start and finish as well as along the course, with teams located at the drink stations and roaming bike teams. They will provide immediate assistance and if further assistance is required, such as transportation to a hospital. Please note that these costs are incurred by the patient.

Incidents and Hazards

Should you injure yourself while at the event please report this as soon as possible to event personnel which includes security guards, course marshals or event organisers; alternatively, you can contact the event information line 1300 761 384.

If you see any potential hazards at the start, finish or on course or any bags or suspicious packages that are left unattended, please notify event organisers as soon as possible.

Lost Children

If your child has become lost please report your child’s details to event organisers where appropriate action will be taken to ascertain your child’s whereabouts.

If you have found a child that appears lost and/or distressed, please notify event organisers immediately. Event organisers are located at the security shed, Race HQ, the course or around the start and finish lines. At the finish there is a dedicated lost children tent located in the event village.
