- Taper, don’t overdo it
Now is not the time for last minute marathons. Ease up on your distance by swapping high intensity runs for lighter and shorter sessions. This will keep your legs fresh, and your energy high come Sunday 10 August.
Tip: two short runs mid-week, with a rest day in between is a great way to stay active without risking overtraining.
- Listen to your body
A tight calf or twinge in your knee might seem small now but ignoring it could throw off your entire race. Now is the time to give your muscles the support they need.
